Este artículo en El Nuevo Herald reporta de una nueva propuesta para chequear números de seguro social.
El Senado estadounidense quiere obligar al Departamento de Seguridad Interna a que cumpla una regla propuesta durante el gobierno de George W. Bush por la cual los empleadores deberán despedir a trabajadores inmigrantes si sus nombres no coinciden con sus números de identificación de Seguridad Social.
La medida del 2007 estaba pensada para detectar a los trabajadores indocumentados a través de las cartas de “no concordancia”, que la Administración de Seguridad Social envía a las empresas cuando el nombre y el número de identificación de uno de sus empleados no coinciden con los datos que tiene el gobierno.

Esto es un parche al problema de la inmigración ilegal, con esto no se resuelve el problema, si tienen la verdadera voluntad de hacer algo, es solo con la implementación de una reforma migratoria,si supuestamente quieren hacer algo, es sencillo, aprobada la reforma, se aplican las leyes ,se evitará la que la gente siga viniendo con la intensión de permanecer aqui. Falta intensión, a veces creo que económicamente el gobierno saca mas dinero con nosotros teniéndonos en la sombra,que dándonos papeles, cuanto dinero que no es devuelto???

Quisiera saber adonde va el dinero que se le descuenta a los trabajadores que tienen numeros de seguro social que no les corresponde y que hace el gobierno con ese dinero
