Representante del gobierno de Obama habla de la reforma migratoria
Estamos empezando a ver algunas señales del gobierno de Barack Obama respecto a una eventual reforma del sistema migratorio en Estados Unidos. El diario La Opinión acaba de reportar lo siguiente:
WASHINGTON, D.C.— Rahm Emanuel, jefe de gabinete del presidente Barack Obama, no estableció ayer un tiempo específico para el avance de la reforma migratoria integral, pero envió un claro mensaje a las partes interesadas: fijarse en el compromiso del mandatario y en los resultados concretos que se han estado obteniendo.
A la pregunta de si el tema de la reforma migratoria deberá esperar a un potencial segundo período del presidente Obama, Emanuel afirmó: “No voy a poner un marco de tiempo al respecto”.
“Algunos dicen que puede lograrse en el primer período, otros dicen que puede lograrse en la primera mitad del primer período, y otros dicen que no puede lograrse hasta el segundo período. En este punto, es un cálculo que equivale a una estimación hipotética”, dijo Emanuel.
