La secretaria de Seguridad Nacional se niega a cerrar la frontera con Mexico
El Nuevo Herald reporta lo siguiente:
La secretaria de Seguridad Nacional de EE.UU., Janet Napolitano, dijo que, hoy por hoy, no se justifica el cierre de la frontera sur del país como medida para frenar la propagación de la gripe porcina.
En su primera comparecencia en el Senado desde que estalló la crisis por la gripe porcina en México, Napolitano afirmó que tomaría la decisión de cerrar las fronteras si así se lo recomiendan las autoridades sanitarias, si bien seria más un gesto simbólico que una medida práctica para contener el contagio.
Insistió, no obstante, que por ahora no existen condiciones que justifiquen el cierre de la frontera sur.
