Inmigrantes que vuelvan a Uruguay podrán traer un vehículo personal

El gobierno uruguayo ha definido mas concretamente las condiciones en que los uruguayos residentes en el exterior podrán regresar con sus bienes incluyendo su auto. De acuerdo a lo que reporta el diario uruguay El País:

“Todo uruguayo con más de dos años de residencia en el exterior, que decida retornar en forma definitiva al país, podrá introducir libre de todo trámite cambiario y exento de toda clase de derechos de aduana, tributos o gravámenes conexos, incluidos los precios vinculados a la importación”, expresa el primer artículo del decreto.

Y detalla lo que podrá ingresar: “a) Los bienes muebles y efectos que alhajan su casa habitación; b) Las herramientas, máquinas, aparatos e instrumentos vinculados con el ejercicio de su profesión, arte u oficio; c) Por única vez, un vehículo automotor de su propiedad”.

La residencia en un país extranjero, por otra parte, deberá ser “permanente e ininterrumpida en el exterior por un lapso superior a los dos años”. Ello deberá ser documentado a través del servicio consular uruguayo en el país. La pérdida de esta condición, a los efectos de la normativa, puede darse por ejemplo si el ciudadano residente en el extranjero pasó los últimos 60 días de vacaciones en Uruguay.
