El gobierno de Obama perseguirá a los empleadores que contratan indocumentados
Debido a que el gobierno de Obama ha estado muy ocupado con la profunda crisis financiera que afecta al país, hace bastante tiempo que no escuchabamos noticias sobre el tema inmigratorio. Al parecer el gobierno va a empezar a arrestar y perseguir a las empresas que contratan inmigrantes indocumentados. El enfoque parece haber pasado de perseguir al inmigrante a luchar contra la demanda de la inmigración ilegal.
El Nuevo Herald reporta lo siguiente en su edición de internet:
En lo que constituye su entrada al campo minado político de la reforma de inmigración, la secretaria de Seguridad Interior (DHS) Janet Napolitano ordenará pronto a los agentes federales que hagan énfasis en el arresto y enjuiciamiento de empresas que contratan a inmigrantes indocumentados, informaron el martes funcionarios de la entidad.
El cambio pudiera esbozarse la próxima semana en las nuevas orientaciones a los agentes de la Policía de Inmigración y Aduanas (ICE), dijeron varios funcionarios familiarizados con el cambio.
